After my daughter was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, we decided to try the Crohn's Disease Exclusion Diet (CDED) in an attempt to induce remission and after 12 weeks of Phase 1, it worked! But it was one of the most challenging and overwhelming periods of my life because I felt I was doing it all alone. CDEDing was created as a resource for parents by a mom who has been through it and wanted to make it just a little bit easier for others with wholesome recipes, tips and tricks, and lots of encouragement!
My goal here is to not only provide wholesome recipes, but all of the tips and tricks I learned along the way. The things that can be made ahead. The most helpful kitchen tools. The recipes to make when you don’t have any bandwidth left. And the recipes to make when you’re feeling like you have that energy to try something new. It doesn’t all have to be done all the time. And like most parents, especially those with sick kids, it’s easy to lose sight of that and get lost in the overwhelm. I want to be here to help.
